Fixed selection range

This feature is available in the data mapping menu.

It allows the user to control the shape of the data that is being mapped to a PowerPoint chart or table. With this feature enabled, the visible data of a shape after mapping will always match the original dimensions of the shape. With this feature disabled, the dimensions of the mapped data will be determined by the data query.
